We believe that working and recreating together helps to build strong, loving
relationships. Thus we offer many fellowship opportunities for teenagers and their friends.
Youth Fellowship
Our Youth Groups are made up of young people in grades 7-12. They meet on a monthly basis. Their activities include conducting worship on Youth Sunday, participation in a 30 hour famine to benefit the World Hunger organization, providing the spaghetti dinner for our congregation's annual meeting, seasonal parties, attending the ELCA's national youth gatherings, etc. Our youth also provide a shopping day babysitting service during the Christmas shopping season.
SENIOR YOUTH
Our Senior Youth group were blessed to be able to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering in San Antonio, Texas this year. They spent a lot of time over the past 3 years hosting car washes, A Medieval Dinner, A Benefit Horse Show and sales of calendars and candy to send the entire group and their chaperones to the event, all expenses paid.
Holy Trinity's Youth find out that shade is good in a week filled with temperatures in the low 100's.
One of the fantastic service projects at the ELCA Youth Gathering was a visit to a school where the Youth read books and then donated the books for the school.
Contemporary Christian Music abounded at the Youth Gathering.
Learning that those in a wheelchair have to overcome many obstacles was one of the many projects at the Gathering. It's not as easy as it looks.
They all say "THANKS FOR GETTING US TO SAN ANTONIO!"
